300,000 curious visitors. So many people look into our digital car showroom in an average week during the autumn. But how do these speculators turn into buyers of your cars? Well, through hard work and smart marketing.
Kvdbil has sold cars online since the beginning of the 2000s and we have had time to learn a lot during these roughly 20 years. Partly about the used market, partly about the importance of being at the forefront when it comes to digital marketing. And in order to be at the forefront, you need to have the courage to try new things.
We had a chat with an expert in the field, namely our colleague Christian Lindskog, who is Kvdbil's Online & Digital Marketing Manager. We asked him some questions about how we get the cars to reach the right person, in the right channel, at the right time.
Where are the cars sold through Kvdbil most visible?
Of course, Google is an important channel. When it's time to start looking for a new car, it's common to start "Googling". Therefore, it is important for us to be clearly visible when, for example, someone types in "Buy used V70" on Google. In order for Kvdbil to be at the top of the results that appear, we buy ads on words that are relevant. We also work actively to create and update content on kvd.se to also appear organically.
How would you explain the word "organic" to someone unfamiliar with the term?
Yes, being visible organically means that Kvdbil should come up as an alternative in the search results quite naturally, without us having bought the space.
Beyond Google, where else do we advertise?
In addition, we advertise on social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram. And we let banners appear on various sites that feel relevant, such as websites for daily newspapers, for example.
In addition to advertising online, we at Kvdbil work to be visible all the time. We send out weekly newsletters, are active on LinkedIn , Instagram and Facebook but also appear in various sports broadcasts as a program sponsor.
Perhaps you have also seen us interviewed in the media about the used market? We work actively with PR around questions regarding everything from the price picture to who the 15 best Swedish cars of all time are.
